Excitement is in the air as the Bakersfield Condors have announced the signing of winger Sam Gagner to a one-year American Hockey League (AHL) contract. This signing marks Gagner's return to Bakersfield, where he previously played four games in 2019 during a conditioning assignment with the Edmonton Oilers.

At 34 years of age and hailing from London, Ontario, Gagner boasts an impressive NHL career spanning 16 professional seasons, with 1,015 games played and 527 points (192 goals and 327 assists) to his name. The Edmonton Oilers originally selected him in the first round (6th overall) of the 2007 NHL Draft.

Last season, Gagner showcased his skills with the Winnipeg Jets, playing 48 games and scoring eight goals while contributing six assists, totaling 14 points. As he joins the Condors, Gagner will proudly wear number 89 on his jersey.

Fans of the Bakersfield Condors can look forward to seeing Gagner in action as the team prepares to host Henderson tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. on Dignity Health Home Ice at Mechanics Bank Arena.
