Edmonton Oilers Defenseman Darnell Nurse, has been automatically suspended for one game and Coach Jay Woodcroft has been fined $10,000 under rule 46.21, Instigating in Final Five Minutes of Regulation.
Darnell Nurse, has been suspended due to him instigating a fight late in the game. As he was the one to drop his gloves first, before man handling Vegas Golden Knight Nic Hague.
As well, Head Coach Jay Woodcroft, is fined $10,000 for having his player be an instigator within the last 5 minutes of the game. This rule is in effect so coaches don't abuse it, and tell their players to jump opposing players.
Mark Stone of the Vegas Golden Knights, came to Darnell Nurse's defence. Saying, that Nic Hague asked for the fight before the face off. So, the suspension should have been reversed.
