Another Big named Superstar is now on the trade market - who'll be the lucky buyer?

Around the Sharks, notably the defenseman Erik Karlsson, rumours have been circulating. Another well-known name that can be on the trading market is Timo Meier.

Meir tallied up 76 points and 35 goals in 77 games last season and is now in the final year of his contract, which will draw organizations who don't want to make a long-term financial commitment.

If the Oilers could potentially receive Meir and a defensemen in a swap, without giving up current rostered players but high draft picks and potentially a prospect, the Oilers could be looking at an even deeper playoff run.

Meier holds a triple win and will undoubtedly be drawing a lot of attention as rumours have now surfaced of the young forward being up for grabs. It will be a costly move, to put it mildly. It will be interesting to see what the Sharks will demand in exchange, and who'll give offers.
