Detroit Red Wings fans are concerned after the news that one of their top young prospects was injured playing in Europe.

19 year-old Dmitri Buchelnikov was the Red Wings 2nd round pick in the 2022 NHL draft, and was playing in the VHL this season. Buchelnikov was leveled with a huge hit by a player on the opposite team named Roman Chemerkin.

Buchelnikov was in rough shape and needed assistance off the ice. This comes just days after another VHL player named Yegor Bryzgalov had to be taken to hospital after suffering a serious hit.
