Odds released for Vancouver's first round playoff series

The Vancouver Canucks enter the final day of their regular season schedule and have finally found out who their first round opponent will be in the Stanley Cup Playoffs - the Nashville Predators.

Last night, after it was confirmed the Canucks would play the Predators in the opening round of the Playoffs, the National Hockey League made a statement that revealed the odds and who is the favorite for the series, through their partnership with FanDuel.

As would be expected given they're the higher seed, the Vancouver Canucks are favoured to win the series at -150, while the Nashville Predators are underdogs heading into game one, with their odds at +125.



The Canucks have had the Predators' number during the regular season, sweeping their season series 3-0 and outscoring Nashville 13 to 6. However, the last time these two teams met was back before Christmas, on December 19th and after a canceled trip to a U2 concert, the Predators turned their season around and had an 18-game point streak at one point.

Since the All-Star break, the Predators had a record of 21-7-3 and finished the season at 47-30-5, which was good for the first wild card spot in the Western Conference.

It's going to be an intense and tight series between the Canucks and Predators, with two of the games best goaltenders and defencemen doing battle - Thatcher Demko & Quinn Hughes vs Juuse Saros & Roman Josi.
