Major lineup changes for Canucks ahead of matchup with Coyotes

The Vancouver Canucks will host the Arizona Coyotes on Wednesday night as they look to distance themselves in the Pacific Division from the second-place Edmonton Oilers. Off the heels of a massive 4-3 win against the Vegas Golden Knights, it appears as though the team will once again turn you recently-called up goaltender Arturs Silovs among several other notable lineup changes.

Silovs, making his eighth career start and only third this season, stopped 20 of 23 shots in the win.

Another notable name drawing into the lineup is Elias Lindholm. The forward has not played since March 23 against his former club, the Calgary Flames. He has been sidelined with a wrist injury in the time since, but appears ready after being listed as day-to-day recently. He will likely draw in for young forward Vasili Podkolzin.

Lindholm has just 41 points in 71 games this season — which would be his worst statistical output since 2015-16.


Also drawing in against the Coyotes are is Phillip Di Guiseppe in place of Nils Aman, who will likely serve as a healthy scratch. It will mark Di Guiseppe's first contest since March 25 against the Los Angeles Kings.

Di Guiseppe, who averages just over 10 minutes of ice time per game, has 10 points in 49 games this season.
