The Vancouver Canucks hosted their first playoff game at Rogers Arena in nine years and despite a poor first 20 minutes, the team eventually turned things around in the third period.

In the third period, with the Canucks down 2-1, Quinn Hughes scored to tie the game up at 2-2 with 11:01 remaining. Hughes is going to be a key player if the Canucks are going to make a deep run in the playoffs, so him getting on the board early was big for the team.

Then, 12 seconds later, Dakota Joshua scored to give the Canucks an important lead in the third period on home ice. Joshua's play this season has been a big surprise to many and this summer when he becomes a free agent, he's set for a significant jump in pay, whether it be from the Canucks or another organization.

With Joshua's third period marker, the Canucks have set a new franchise record for fastest two goals in the post-season at 12 seconds, according to Sportsnet Stats.

Joshua would go on to score an empty netter as well, securing a 4-2 victory for the Vancouver Canucks and giving them a 1-0 series lead over the Nashville Predators.

Game 2 at Rogers Arena between the Vancouver Canucks and Nashville Predators is set for Tuesday night at 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET and can be viewed across Canada on Sportsnet and CBC.
