Canucks announce front office move: Change of scenery for Higgins
After spending five seasons as the Vancouver's Assistant Director of Player Development, former Canuck Chris Higgins has a new role with the organization, the team announced on Saturday.
In a press release on their website, the Canucks announced that Chris Higgins will no longer be the team's Assistant Director of Player Development and, effective immediately, is transitioning into a Multimedia Creator role alongside Kate Pettersson, Chris Faber and Lindsay Horsting."Vancouver Canucks announced today that Chris Higgins will be transitioning from his role as Assistant Director of Player Development and will be joining the Canucks content department as a Multimedia Creator. Higgins, a proud ambassador for the organization both as a player and alumni, has played a pivotal role in the Hockey Operations department, aiding numerous current players in enhancing their skills both on and off the ice." The Canucks said.
They added, "In his new capacity, Higgins will conduct player interviews and provide hockey analysis while collaborating with Canucks Rinkside Reporter Kate Pettersson and Canucks Insiders Chris Faber and Lindsey Horsting on a host of video and written projects."

Higgins, 40, was a former first-round pick of the Montreal Canadiens and appeared in 711 games in the National Hockey League. In 315 games with the Canucks between 2011 and 2016, Higgins had 142 points (62 goals, 80 assists). He also added ten points in 40 Playoff games with Vancouver.
