Oilers Insider speaks on Jack Campbell potentially starting Game 4
Over the last 12 to 24 hours, the Oilers goalie situation has become a hot topic as the team is looking for a better result. Stuart Skinner has not played well and Head coach Kris Knoblauch chose to pull him in Game 3 in their 4-3 loss. Oilers insider Jim Matheson spoke about the possibility of Jack Campbell being available for Game 4.
Several pundits have hinted to the idea of Campbell starting in Game 4. But as Matheson points out, he's not practicing with the team and nowhere to be found. Which means the team will either return to Skinner or ask Calvin Pickard to man the net. Campbell hasn't played a game with the Oilers since November earlier this season, and there's absolutely no chance he's called upon with the season on the line. Still, some Oilers fans want to see the redemption arc come full circle.
Coach Knoblauch asks for more saves
It will come down to the Oilers playing a tighter game in front of their net and give their goaltending a chance to find itself. Coach Knoblauch certainly has weighed in his thoughts and he has gone out of his way to say «We need more saves.» Which means it's likely that Pickard will be the choice.
The Oilers will look to see if they can even up the series as Game 4 will be on Tuesday May 14th and game time starts at 10:00pm eastern.
