It seems Emberson Enjoys playing against players like Jack Hughes and Auston Matthews while preventing them from scoring many goals. The 24-year-old defenseman who has a right shot and stands at six foot 194 lbs has a great opportunity to snag a spot on the blue line and play big minutes for the Oilers as Cody Ceci and Phillip Broberg are no longer on the team.
Oilers Insider Bob Stauffer also stated this as Emberson will be going to a far better team then playing for the lowly Sharks.
Emberson will also enjoy working with his former head coach from the Hartford Wolf Pack Kris Knoblauch. He played one season for the Rangers organization and spent the bulk of his time in Hartford where he got to know Knoblauch and his style and recently, he had praised working with him.
It appears that the ceiling is high for Emberson, and it will come down to him and whether he takes his game to the next level and helping the Oilers move forward.
