Over the past month, general manager Ken Holland along with his staff have been working their phones and emails trying to craft a list of players that they are interested and linked to the team.

As the games continue and other teams begin to fall out of the playoff picture more names emerge as potential trade options for the Oilers.

Oilers Access tweeted out a list of all players that the team is currently interested in, and many names would help the team greatly.

Players like Jake Guentzel, Pavel Buchnevich, Vladimir Tarasenko and Sean Walker would certainly bolster the Oilers on the front and back end. As each player has different contract needs and Holland not a fan of rentals, any trade that would come from the Oilers would have to have term or a willing to sign long term with the team.

One position on that list that's been missing is goaltending. I still feel very strongly that the Oilers are missing the goaltender that will carry them to the Stanley Cup Final. As well as Stuart Skinner has played, i don't feel the team is strong enough in goal to go the distance. In my view, the team should be seeking out goaltender help first before adding to the front end.

Over the next two weeks, it will be a fascinating time to see how the Oilers will handle the trade deadline and what they will do if anything to give them the best chance to win.
