Oilers GM Bowman reveals bad news on Nugent-Hopkins and Kapanen injuries

The Edmonton Oilers are missing Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Kasperi Kapanen with injury, and they may have to wait longer than expected to see them back.
As the Oilers embarked on their current 7-game road trip, the team announced that Nugent-Hopkins would miss one week with an undisclosed injury. Unfortunately, it sounds like he'll miss that timeline to return.

Speaking to insider Bob Stauffer on the most recent edition of OilersNow, GM Stan Bowman confirmed that Nugent-Hopkins and Kapanen won't return until sometime in December.
[Nugent-Hopkins is] not on the trip and I don't envision him joining us for this final week, so he's progressing. Hopefully he'll be back soon. I don't have an update on that.

It's beginning to get a bit frustrating that the Oilers routinely give out incorrect or incomplete injury information, but it's a method to protect their players privacy. Unfortunately for fans and media, we can just hope for a return.
Missing Nugent-Hopkins is a significant blow to the Oilers, as he's a player trusted to make an impact in all situations.
In his absence Matthew Savoie has stepped up and given great play on the first line, but the Oilers will surely be hoping to get Nuge back in that spot.
It seems the Oilers will be waiting for at least another two weeks to see Nuge back in the lineup. Hopefully it's not such a serious injury, and he can quickly return to full speed.
