Oilers coach calls out NHL for missing superstar player at 4 Nations Faceoff

Coach Knoblauch was quite outspoken that one of the best players in the world in Leon Draisaitl could not participate in the tournament that has been deemed best on best.
Many NHL stars left out of 4 Nations Faceoff
Knoblauch tried not to speak for Draisaitl himself but it was clear he had strong feelings that his top center would like to participate in the festivities.
Despite the success of the Four Nations Faceoff and the fact that it's the inaugural year for the tournament, there have been many discussions about the lack of certain players unable to attend due to the country they are from.
Many NHL fans in some pundits feel that the tournament will likely be revisited and refined overtime to either choose different nations to join or expand the tournament to allow more countries to participate at once, much like the World Cup in the past.
Oilers preparing for NHL trade deadline and the stretch run
With the Four Nations concluding on Thursday, the Oilers organization is putting their final evaluations on their roster and their depth as the NHL trade deadline will be the next event circled on the calendar.
Draisaitl on the 4Nations Tournament, the USA, Canada Rivalry: ' I watched a little bit of it. It's good hockey, obviously intense. I think anytime you put your country's jersey on, there's a lot of pride on the line, and you want to play your best hockey. '
The Oilers will be searching for several potential pieces as their win now window continues to remain open and the team hopes for a long playoff run and another trip to the Stanley Cup finals two years in a row.
