The Oilers are undoubtedly going to have some moves left, and there seem to always be new names being thrown in the ring for new interests. In The Hockey Writers' newsletter, they add a new name into the trade talks for the Oilers that we haven't heard before.

They link Boone Jenner to the Oilers for a trade target, which actually makes a decent amount of sense. Jenner has played his whole career in Columbus, and has expressed his interest in pursuing a team that can contend for a cup.

Jenner has 13 goals and 18 points in 35 games this season on a terrible Columbus team. He only carries a 3.75M cap hit until 2025-26, which is a great value for his play. Even with 0 retention, Jenner would be a great fit for the Oilers. He is someone who can play on the left wing and slot in to the top 6, or even can play as the 2C if Knoblauch ever needs to put McDavid and Draisaitl together.

It's very hard to find guys who can fill the versatility, cheap cap hit and value that Jenner can, and Columbus would be stupid to not take offers on him. They need to rebuild, and they should do their captain the decency of allowing him to chase a cup like he deserves. I don't believe he'd be too expensive either, as price for him would probably be a second round pick and a prospect due to his lower stats this year.
