The Battle of Alberta has never disappointed and during last night's game, Flames defenseman Rasmus Andersson put an acting show for everyone to see after Leon Draisaitl lightly slashed him behind the knee.
The penalty occurred in the third period at 13:49. It was hard for Draisaitl to get out of that call as the referee had full vision on what happened. However, Andersson should have been assessed an embellishment penalty for making it worse than it really was.
Many felt it was a dive and one of the worst acting shows. One even pointed out that Andersson grabbed the wrong leg after the slash happened. Certainly fans will be the judge on this one.
The game was a rough one with 14 penalties assessed between the two teams from holding the stick through interference to slashing and roughing. The Oilers ended up winning the game 4-2 as they continue their hope to take the Pacific division from the Vancouver Canucks.
The Oilers next game will be at home on Wednesday April 10th when they face off against a potential playoff match up in the Vegas Golden Knights. Will be at 8:30 PM eastern.
