Details of new Edmonton Oilers logo teased on alternate jersey for next year

Oilers insider Tom Gazzola has seen the new alternate jersey, and has confirmed a few details of its appearance - one being a new logo.

According to a new update from Oilers analyst Eric Friesen with Heavy Hockey Network, the new alternate jerseys for Edmonton may have a similar look to the new Condors jersey, debuting tonight.

The Condors new jersey features the BAK abbreviation as their logo, implementing an Oil rig into the A of the jersey. If the Oilers follow suit with something similar, the logo could feature the EDM abbreviation.

Bakersfield's new jerseys also prominently feature a light orange and white as the primary colours, something that lines up with Gazzola's previous description of the jersey.

The assumption was that the Oilers new threads would be a white base, but it could be possible they return to bright orange.

Additionally, there is confirmation that the jersey won't feature an Oil drop like the Condors new alternate, and that it will not be a throwback to a previous Oilers era.

The new Oilers threads will likely be released at the end of this season or in the offseason as they're rolled out for regular rotation next year. They'll have to meet a high standard of beautiful Oilers jerseys, but it's hard to go wrong with the Blue, Orange, and White.
