Oilers provide major update on Dylan Holloway injury
Coming into this season, the Oilers had high hopes for Dylan Holloway carving out a consistent role with the team. As their first round draft pick from 2020, Holloway has developed extremely well, and could provide some depth scoring on a cheap contract.
Unfortunately for both the Oilers and Holloway, he got off to a slow start this season. After 14 games this season while only recording a single goal, Holloway sustained a significant injury that's kept him out for some time.
Now, head coach Kris Knoblauch was finally able to deliver some more news about Holloway, confirming that he will be unavailable at least until the Christmas break.
Hopefully, this means a return following the break could be possible for Holloway. At this point in his career, he needs to consistently play games at the best level he can compete in, and do his best to contribute to the depth scoring.
