The Edmonton Oilers are now in a tough spot, Kailer Yamamoto is now available to be slotted back into the lineup as he has fully recovered from his previous suffered injury, but there is some issues Ken Holland has to hurry up and deal with beforehand.
Yamamoto has been a full participant in practice, laying hits, scoring goals and is good to go. In order for him to return, Ken Holland needs to clear a minimum of $1.125 million from a player on their current roster. Ken Holland has been working in snail mode and has reportedly not been on top of things, which can be witnessed by any current Oilers fan.
It could be one of Jesse Puljujarvi, Warren Foegle, Derek Ryan or Mattias Janmark on waivers, or involved in a trade to clear cap space.
Frank Seravalli, former NHL analyst and now host of the Daily faceoff was asked on how the Oilers plan to get Yamamoto back into the lineup, he stated the following:
It seems as if Klim Kostin was injured in the Oilers game against the Ottawa Senators last week after taking a hard fall into the boards. It is reported that he's been struggling with a wrist injury since, and now the Oilers are waiting to hear on his injury before making a roster move.
