MAPLE LEAFS WILLIAM NYLANDER MAKES AN IMPOSSIBLE PASS - THE BEST OF THE YEAR?
BY RYAN HOLLINGSWORTH
That level was on full display tonight when the Maple Leafs played against the maligned New York Islanders.
Nylander had four points in the second period. One of those points was an outstanding pass. His IQ was on full show when he sent a sweet outlet pass up the center to Calle Jarnkrok who broke free of the Islanders' defense and scored a wicked top-shelf goal against Ilya Sorokin.
The Maple Leafs will need Willy Styles to continue this stellar play down the stretch and into the playoffs in hopes of getting the Leafs over their 18-year 2nd round drought.
The 26-year-old right winger is having a career year. He's played 48 games karma has scored 26 goals with 30 assists for a total of 56 points, he is a shocking +18. throughout his NHL career, one of the biggest complaints from the fan base was his lax defensive play and lousy plus-minus. His game has changed but his style continues to shine.
