Despite facing gambling issues recently, Evander Kane has continued to play on the ice. He chose to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, a legal route typically used by businesses to justify his debts.

However, the bankruptcy saga continues as he faces off against another creditor.

A judge has ruled in favor of Evander Kane in a case filed by Centennial Bank stemming from his bankruptcy.

Barring the bank filing and winning an appeal, Kane won't have to repay an $8 million-plus loan.

Kane recently won a case against Centennial Bank in a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy case, which means he will not have to pay the $8 Million the creditor claimed he owes.

Kane filed for bankruptcy in 2021, claiming $26.8 Million in debts and $10.2 Million in assets.

However, the case is not yet resolved as Hope Parker is still listed as a claimant.

Despite the legal challenges, Kane has been a valuable asset to the Edmonton Oilers team for the past two seasons, and has made a real comeback after leaving the San Jose Sharks organization.
