The verdict is in regarding Thatcher Demko

Vancouver Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko was ruled out for the remainder of the team's first-round matchup against the Nashville Predators after suffering an injury during Game 1. This comes just a short period after he was sidelined for nearly six weeks, returning for the final regular season games before the playoffs began.

Various reports have been all over the place regarding the severity of Demko's injury, ranging from missing the opening series to potentially missing a much more extensive period.

Fortunately, Demko is walking and travelling with the team. According to Rick Dhaliwal, some people believe he may be ready to play at some point during the second round should the Canucks advance that far with Casey DeSmith in goal and rookie Arturs Silovs backing up.

Dhaliwal also believes that Demko will not need surgery for this injury, in addition to his understanding that it is not a severe injury which would linger for months.
