McDavid gearing up to reach insane career achievement this year

The Oilers have been enjoying their recent run of winning six games in a row who has been led by Connor McDavid.

During those games, McDavid has scored three goals, nine assists for 12 points. This included the all-important 900th point of career in just 602 games.

After he surpassed this milestone, a new question emerged from pundits and fans around the league, can McDavid pass 1000 points by the end of this season?




With his recent heater, he's looking like the Connor McDavid that has been lighting up the scoreboard and setting records that we all have come to expect with the 26-year-old phenom.

The possibility of setting 1000 points in under 10 seasons of play and under 700 games would be a feat that has not been seen is many years. He would certainly need the point production that he saw against the Flyers in order to make it possible.

With 602 games in and a stat line of 317 goals, 586 assists for 603 points and the drive to push the Oilers back into a playoff spot, I think it can be done.

We will have to wait and see how it all plays out.
