Since the Edmonton Oilers sent down Jack Campbell and hired coach Kris Knoblauch, the team has skyrocketed from near last back to a cup contender. Recently, their defensive play has been absolutely stellar and is greatly contributing to their success.

In a video posted yesterday, TSN analyst and former defenceman Frank Corrado offered an amazingly detailed video coach-like breakdown of how the Oilers stars have improved their play away from the puck, and how it's leading to more success. If you're a passionate hockey fan, Carrado's breakdown is a must listen.

Using several clips from the Oilers last game against the Nashville Predators, Corrado highlights in detail multiple instances where the team is playing incredibly sound positionally, and setting themselves up for incredible success from their d-zone efforts.

Corrado is clearly emphasizing the fact that the Oilers have bought into the defensive systems implemented by Knoblauch and Coffey, and it's immediately led to them becoming the most dominant team in hockey. The Oilers always had the talent on the roster to tear up the NHL like this, but now the coaching staff is clearly elevated them to new heights.

Corrado's been known now to post these incredibly detailed breakdowns of plays on his Twitter from time to time, and they have the exact feel of a video coach. It's unbelievable analysis from Corrado, and should be the exact kind of content hockey fans see on TV during broadcasts and intermission.
