Evander Kane gets roasted for brutal quote on Florida Panthers brawls

The Oilers and Panthers Stanley Cup Final has been a heated series with tons of scrums, fights, and penalties, but Evander Kane says it's not getting to the team.
It's a bit of an ironic quote to come from Evander Kane, who has been a central figure in the antics between the Oilers and Panthers. In Game 5, there was some belief Kane could be scratched because he's taken so many early penalties.

Speaking to the media today, Evander Kane claimed that the Panthers aren't really getting under the skin of the Oilers, and have a false reputation for being a team of pests.
I'm just not going to talk about [walking the line], cause I don't know. Just get ready for Game 5 and see what happens out there.
I think they maybe get a little too much credit for how crazy they drive teams.

Kane is saying all the right things, but the reality is that he hasn't lived up to this mentality so far in the series.
Coach Knoblauch has been railing against the constant early penalties from the Oilers, and Kane has been one of the main culprits with first period penalties in two straight games.
He's racked up 20 penalty minutes in this series, and committed plenty of infractions even before Game 3 got out of hand. As a result, he's been demoted to the 4th line.
For that reason, pretty much all NHL fans have dunked on Kane's statement. He'll need to clear up the penalties if he wants to play a positive role on the team.
Hopefully Kane finds a way to reign in his aggressive style of play and properly walk the line of being a pest, while staying out of the box.
