As the Oilers continue to get healthy, expect to see more roster changes, primarily with the bottom-6 forwards, and likely beginning with Andrew Mangiapane.

Free agent forward not producing

When Edmonton signed Mangiapane to a two-year, $3.6M AAV deal, it was with the expectation that he'd provide secondary scoring. With only 5G and 11 points over 39 games, he is failing.
Yet, the only way he can be moved is for him to waive the no-movement clause, which alters to a 5-team trade-list next season, if he's still with the team.
What has become obvious is GM Stan Bowman's attempt to clear the path for a potential move or two, suggested by this recent post about waiving depth players.
The #Oilers have placed forward Noah Philp on waivers, in addition to placing forward David Tomasek on waivers for the purpose of contract termination.

Mangiapane appears to be the next Oilers' forward whose roster-status with the team will change. And it may be a mutual decision, with the former Calgary Flame perhaps needing a fresh start.
When you look at Edmonton's bottom-6, it's clear that change is needed for team and players. In their loss tot he Flames on Saturday, they were completely dominated by their 4th-line.
Trent Frederic, Max Jones and Mattias Janmark all finished the game with minus-one and no shots on goal, while combining for only three hits.
The Oilers' third line wasn't much better. Matt Savoie, Adam Henrique and Andrew Mangiapane were ineffective in every aspect of the game, providing very little impact in their 11:42 of TOI.
It will be in Mangiapane's benefit to waive his NMC before this year's trade-deadline, or he may just be the next healthy scratch.
