The Edmonton Oilers are back on the ice for practice today, and seem to have lost Jack Roslovic and Kasperi Kapanen with injury.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is finally set to make his return to the lineup after missing the last couple weeks with injury, and he'll be taking on a new role as part of a revamped lineup.
Edmonton Oilers announce major line changes, lose 2 forwards to injury
According to reporters at practice, the Oilers will be looking to try out more balanced lineup with Nuge down on the third line, and Savoie will stay with McDavid.
Zach Hyman will move up to the first line, and otherwise there'll be the usual combinations in the bottom six.
Jack Roslovic was absent from practice today after leaving the Oilers game against Dallas with an injury due to a shot-block. Hopefully, he'll be back in the lineup soon.
The Oilers also appeared to have lost Kasperi Kapanen to another injury at practice. Sidelined for several weeks with injury, Kapanen was at practice and hoping to play Saturday before this injury at practice. Leaving the rink extremely frustrated, it looks like a serious injury.
Defence pairs remain the same, and Stuart Skinner remains in the starter's crease. With a few days break before the Oilers next game, there's a chance some of that could change.
It's extremely unfortunate for the Oilers to lose two more players with an injury just as they were close to getting fully healthy - especially a player on a hot streak like Roslovic.
Hopefully they're both back as soon as possible, and the Oilers can shake off this slow start.
