In a recent episode of OilersNation Everyday, the hosts discussed why the Oilers should re-sign Jack Roslovic for 6-years at an AAV of $3M.

Oilers find missing link to second-line with Draisaitl

If it works and all of a sudden you're like, this guy (Roslovic) is working so well with Leon. He's only 28-years old.

He's a top-6 winger currently, who you can spot on your powerplay and can score 5v5...You've been looking for two wingers to play with Draisaitl.

Roslovic's offensive capabilities complements the Oilers' stars like Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. He has the ability to play either wing or center, giving coach Kris Knoblauch flexibility in constructing line combinations.
It seems, however, that he fits in nicely alongside Leon Draisaitl and Vasily Podkolzin; they been together 52 minutes five-on-five and have outscored the opposition 5-0 in that time, while controlling 55% of the shot attempt share, as per EvolvingHockey.
Over his last five games, Roslovic has taken 26 shot attempts and 14 shots on goal, scoring two goals and adding a pair of assists. He's been doing this by keeping his game simple.
«There's one puck and two posts, so stay by those three things,» he said. «It's funny, but, you know, a little bit stay out of the way. It's hard to find those right spots, be in the right positions around the net. So you're not in any shot lane you're always an available option.»

Roslovic is currently signed to one-year at $1.5. Yet, if he continues to find chemistry with the league's leading goal scorer, Edmonton would do well to extend him, given how long they've waited for a regular 2nd-line winger.
«Last game, we felt Roslovic had been playing so well and giving him an opportunity to get a little more ice time and possibly a goal, and he delivered there. But not only the goal, but he did make some nice plays, even on the entry. On the Leon Draisaitl goal. He had a big role in that goal, even though he didn't get an assist on it."
