The Edmonton Oilers have roster moves to recall 3 players from the AHL to fill out the lineup for the final stretch of preseason games.
Multiple regular Oilers are expected to be unavailable for at least tonight's game against the Seattle Kraken, and potentially longer. The Oilers won't begin the regular season fully healthy.

According to a release from the Oilers today, the team has recalled forwards Viljami Marjala, James Hamblin, and Connor Clattenburg.
According to a previous update from coach Knoblauch, an illness is currently making its way through the Oilers locker room. Noah Philp and David Tomasek aren't expected to play tonight, and there could potentially be more players feeling the effects of an illness.
In addition, the Oilers will still be without defenceman Jake Walman who's missed the last week of preseason action with an injury. The Oilers are hopeful he will be able to return for opening night. Of course too, the Oilers will start the season without Zach Hyman for the first month.
Finally, Vasily Podkolzin is just returning home from visiting his family after the sudden passing of his father. He's hopeful to get into the final preseason game, but not guaranteed.
It's clear for now that the Oilers need some extra bodies hanging around their training camp and for the final 2 preseason games. Tonight's lineup against the Kraken will likely be a very rookie-heavy group, especially as an away game.
These prospects should take this opportunity to really leave one last impression on management of how they can help the big club.
