NHL insider reveals major injury updates for three Oilers including McDavid

The Edmonton Oilers are clearly dealing with a worst case scenario with injuries at the moment missing three key players in McDavid, Ekholm, and Stuart Skinner - but good news is coming for all of them.
Connor McDavid made the unexpected decision today to join the Oilers for their current 4 game road trip, but Stuart Skinner and
Mattias Ekholm stayed in Edmonton to heal up.
Oilers get revised injury timelines for three key players including McDavid
According to a new report from TSN insider Darren Dreger on Insider Trading tonight, the Oilers are expecting to get all three players back before the end of the season, including Skinner and Ekholm within the course of one week.
However, Dreger mentioned that McDavid may not be expected back until about one week left in the regular season.
That injury timeline may be sped up now that McDavid has decided to join the team on their road trip and made an appearance at practice in a non-contact jersey. The Oilers final regular season game is April 16th, so by Dreger's report, McDavid will return to play April 9th against the Blues.
This lines up with previous reports from the 2 Mutts Hockey Podcast as well. It's curious that McDavid joined the road trip and is now taking practice if he has no intention to play, but it may be good to keep up morale and stay around the team at this time.
Without these three key players in their lineup, the Oilers will have a massive test this week to tread water in the standings and keep the dream of home ice advantage alive. Every Oiler will need to step up and help
Leon Draisaitl, who's carried this team on his back.
