It appears that Oilers prospect Roby Jarventie leave the Oilers organization and head back to Europe after being plagued with several knee injuries over the past three seasons.
Jarventie only played two games for Oilers organization
22-year-old Järventie is a contract player with the Edmonton Oilers and has played two AHL games this season.

Many felt that he would be ready after having knee surgery, but it appears that wasn't the case, as he had re-aggravated a previous issue and hasn't played a game since.
Jarventie was acquired by the Oilers from the Senators in exchange for former first round draft pick
Xavier Bourgault, a deal that looked like a steal for Edmonton if Jarventie ever played.
The organization had high hopes that with his size and only being 22 years old, Jarventie could be a potential offensive player for the Oilers in the coming years.
Something must have gone awfully wrong with Jarventie and the Oilers organization to lead to such an early departure, especially while injured. Perhaps he looked at the depth chart, and saw loads of veteran wingers ahead of him - making NHL ice time pretty much impossible.
Oilers moving forward without Jarventie in organization
Despite the loss of Jarventie, the Oilers are moving forward with their existing prospects as many in the organization expect players like
Matthew Savoie,
Noah Philp and
Beau Akey to help bolster the depth of the team.
The Oilers are looking to get younger and more speed as they did not trade many of their young players during the NHL trade deadline.
The team is looking to close out the last 20 games of the season by securing the Pacific division and putting themselves in a great position for the playoffs.
The team has made some additions to the roster who give the Oilers more grit adds more physicality along with the speed and skill they already have.
The team is still awaiting the arrival of
Evander Kane and
Trent Frederic who are both recovering from injury and should be ready for the playoffs in April.
Both players will give the team even more physicality along with some scoring touch which will bode well for their chances.
