The Edmonton Oilers seem quite confident they have found a goalie to back-up Tristan Jarry in the post-season.

AHL call-up goalie takes crease from veteran

When Jarry went down with in jury, it was probably expected that Pickard would get the start, or at least alternate with Ingram.
That has not been the case. Pickard started the first game and lost. Since then, Ingram ahs taken over the goal, and has impressed.
Now, to know what team has in a goalie, he must play in all kinds of scenarios. And the more hostile the better. You need a feel for how he reacts under pressure.
Starting in goal in Calgary in a BOA, back-to-back matchup is one way to gauge what the Oilers have in Ingram.
And with all the question marks surrounding Edmonton's goalies, some of the big ones have been answered with Ingram in net.
For example, How does he perform in a hostile barn? Check. Can he deal with the pressures of important games? Check. Can he start consecutive games? Check.
And can he stop pucks? A .915 SV% and a 2.35 GAA over three starts answers that question - yes he can.
Connor Ingram is the Oilers new back-up goalie moving forward, and will also likely be in the post-season.
When they brought-in Tristan Jarry to replace Skinner, the door opened for Ingram to do his thing, and he's gained his coach's trust.
Commenting on Saturday night's game against the Flames, Knoblauch had this to say.
We weren't as sharp as we were before the break, and Connor Ingram had a good game, he made some saves, and we gave up a lot of odd-man rushes.

Subdued words that spoke about a goalie that was able to subdue the opposition for most of the night.
In fact, it's Ingram's calm and confident presence in goal that has allowed the team in front of his to play their game.
This year Pickard has posted a 3-5-2 record, a .861 SV %, a 3.93 GAA, and and 4 quality starts over 10 games.
Ingram has recorded 3 quality starts in all of the three games he's started.
Never mind the eye test, the numbers speak for themselves.
