Connor McDavid travels for major personal event with Leon Draisaitl

Plenty of other Edmonton Oilers players are very likely to be in attendance for Draisaitl's wedding too. Insider Bob Stauffer has even hinted Connor McDavid's contract negotiations could start when he returns from the wedding.

Lauren Kyle McDavid shared a photo on Instragram of herself, Connor, Leon Draisaitl, and his fiancée Celeste Desjardins. Lauren attached a simple message extending their congratulations for the couple.

Celeste Desjardins, a Canadian actress, has been a longtime close friend of Lauren Kyle. Connor and Leon then are hanging out quite often off the ice, even evidenced by their recent beer league game.

McDavid and his wife Lauren Kyle also just celebrated the first anniversary of their marriage, with the couple exchanging touching personal messages on social media.

It's great to see the Oilers superstars thriving in their personal lives, and clearly close to each other off the ice. That's also a major factor for McDavid re-signing in Edmonton.

The Draisaitls' wedding festivities are expected to go on for the entire upcoming weekend, but no official date has been revealed for the actual ceremony. Surely McDavid won't be the only Oilers player in attendance - insider Bob Stauffer has hinted plenty of Oilers past and present will be there.
