With Condors' goalie Connor Ingram going into his 10th start of the season, it raises the question about when he will play his first regular season game with the Oilers.
Early in the season, Edmonton Hockey Daily had reported the following quote by The Athletic's hockey analyst and writer:
The AHL schedule is light on games early in the year, so Game 2 is next weekend. At a guess, I would say any recall of Ingram happens after he has clearly established himself as an option (say 10 games).

Following Ingram's arrival from Arizona on October 1, NHL analyst had speculated Ingram would need 10 games in Bakersfield to prepare for a return to the NHL, after missing the bulk of 2024-25 for personal reasons.
Game 10 for the goalie could be as early as today, when the Condors faceoff against the Silver Knights.
Granted, though Connor's stats are not definitive, there have been several moments in the games he's played where he's looked spectacular and ready to compete in Edmonton.
With Calvin Pickard continuing to struggle with an .851 save percentage and 4.40 GAA, and no indication that he'll improve, Ingram would be a definite upgrade.
As of today, Stan Bowman has given no indication that a goalie trade is forthcoming. He'd given his goalies 30 games to prove they could lead the Oilers into the playoffs.
Stuart Skinner, though he too has struggled, has played better of late. The same cannot be said of his backup Pickard.
Stan Bowman really has nothing to lose by tapping Ingram for duty in the NHL, and everything to gain.
