REPORT: DEFENSEMEN ON THE OILERS' RADAR TO REFUSE A TRADE TO EDMONTON

The NHL trade deadline is nearing, and the Chicago Blackhawks are about to disintegrate even more before they realize it (on March 3rd). Many players will soon be traded, but will Kyle Davidson get decent value while getting past his players' no-trade agreements?

Jake McCabe, a defenseman for the Blackhawks, has lately expressed his frustration with playing for losing teams and is another player who is almost certainly going to be traded.



The Edmonton Oilers have been connected to the veteran defenseman, but it seems that McCabe may reject a trade there. It looks that the Blackhawks and McCabe will be working on finding a new home for the player, but not inside Canada.


Elliotte Friedman of Sportnet, whose stories are consistently accurate, said he isn't sure Jake McCabe wants to play in Canada, EVER. The seven teams on McCabe's no-trade list, according to his reports, might include every single Canadian team.
