NHL INSIDER FRANK SERAVALLI MAKES A NOTABLE STATEMENT ABOUT THE EDMONTON OILERS HEADING INTO THE TRADE DEADLINE
BY SKY
Seravalli made a really good point, if not now, then when? In regards to the Oilers going on a cup run, of course they have made really good pushes throughout the past few years, but right now you have two of the best players in the world in their prime (McDavid and Draisaitl), why not add another few valuable assets and trade away a chunk of your future (draft picks) at a chance at a Stanley Cup? The Oilers could make many moves work right now, and as time passes it is less and less time until the Oilers get Evander Kane back into the lineup.
«Trade everything you've got. This is the year to go all in.» Said insider Frank Seravalli.
That is how Seravalli views the Oilers heading into the trade deadline.
«You've got to really make hay. I don't care about your first-round picks in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Other teams have done it and the Oilers have got to get there.»
Do you agree with Seravalli? Should the Oilers make a push for another valuable piece, potentially a high-end defensemen? Or do they sit back and continue to grind with their current roster.
