Let's face it, 17 year-old Connor Bedard is the best player in the world that isn't in the NHL yet. However, when he's selected 1st overall in the upcoming NHL draft he will be generational talent for who ever is lucky enough to draft him.

Today, Connor Bedard would open up the scoring for Canada to give them a 1-0 lead. That goal would surpass Eric Lindros for most points all time by a Canadian. As well as most points in a single tournament by a Canadian player, and most goals all-time by a Canadian player now with 17 goals.

Canada would end up having a 2-0 lead then a 3-1 lead. Unfortunately for Canada Slovakia would battle back to tie the game 3-3 in the 3rd period.

Things weren't looking good for Canada, they kept pouring on the pressure but just kept hitting posts.

This game would go to overtime, the winner moves on to face Team USA In the Semi Finals. Slovakia would give Canada a scare in overtime but Canada goaltender Thomas Milic would make the save of the night to keep the game tied.

Then cue Connor Bedard who would strap the team on his back dangle through the Slovakia players and score the goal of the Tournament.
