One of their rookies has received a MASSIVE $49,000,000 contract offer from the Minnesota Wild, which some are doubting.

Given this deal, it is very probable that defenseman Matt Dumba will be traded at the NHL trade deadline due to the organization's minimal cap space.

Minnesota Wild General Manager Bill Guerin today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed forward Matt Boldy to a seven-year, $49 million contract ($7 million average annual value) that goes through the 2029-30 season.
