The Vancouver Canucks have the opportunity to do something tonight they haven't done in 11 years - win a division title. But how will they be able to achieve this? The National Hockey League has put out a statement revealing how the Canucks can win the Pacific Division.

We're in the final few days of the 2023-24 regular season and there's still plenty to play for, especially in the Eastern Conference with the second wild card spot still up for grabs. There's also six playoff matchups that have yet to be decided, including for the Vancouver Canucks.

While it's most likely that the Canucks will face the Nashville Predators in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, there's still a chance they could overtake the Dallas Stars for first in the Western Conference and face either the Vegas Golden Knights or Los Angeles Kings.

In a post on their Public Relations account on X on Tuesday morning, the National Hockey League shared that the Vancouver Canucks will win the Pacific Division tonight if they get at least one point against the Calgary Flames.

"The Vancouver Canucks will clinch the Pacific Division title....

- If they get at least one point vs. the Flames."

The Canucks currently have the edge in the season series against the Calgary Flames, winning twice the last two meetings, while losing once, which came back on November 16th.

Vancouver also has an opportunity to record their third 50+ win season in franchise history if they defeat the Calgary Flames tonight. The last time they accomplished this feat was during the 2011-12 season when they had 51 wins and the year prior they recorded 54 wins.

Puck drop for tonight's game between the Canucks and the Flames at Rogers Arena is set for 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET on Sportsnet Pacific.
